Emerging young artist Kingsley Chen presents an offering of classics from the piano repertoire.
Impromptu Opus 90 no. 2 in E-flat Major, Franz Schubert; Piano Sonata no. 7 in D Major, Opus 10 no. 3, Ludwig van Beethoven; Scherzo no. 2 in B-flat Minor, Opus 31, Frédéric Chopin; Étude no. 6 in F Major, Opus 72, Caprice Espagnol, Opus 37, Moritz Moszkowski.
Twelve-year-old Kingsley Chen was born in Hong Kong and began piano studies at the age of three. From the age of five, Kingsley started winning local, regional, and international competitions, including Hong Kong Asia Music Competition, Chopin Memorial Prize of the Hong Kong International Piano Competition, and Singapore Zhongshan International Music Competition, among many others. When the family emigrated to the U.S. and settled in Las Vegas, Kingsley was instructed by famed Ukrainian virtuoso Mykola Suk, faculty at University of Nevada. The family then moved to the east…
